Do I have to defrag my HD before partitioning it?
do I have to defrag my HD before partitioning it? I don't want to cuz it is
taking ages (win95). It is taking about 1/2 hour for one % of drive
defraged.
Well its best to Defrag it if you wanna stay on the safe side. Although i defragged my
HD before partitioning it and i still had to reinstall Windows.
When you defrag all klusters on the HD kinda gets up in one "corner" of your HD
and then when you partiotion it you wont cut any files in half...
