What is HowTo ?
Where can I know more about Linux? How Linux works? if you are asking
this kind of questions, then I will suggest you to read the Linux Documentation Project,
HowTo is one of the most important part. HowTo explain all the questions deeply, not
just question-answer format, it brings us more basic knowledge or theory than FAQs.
Can I write HowTo by myself ?
There is a official HowTo project on Internet, and it contains the most complete
documentations. Because the project are opened to anybody who interesting in Linux,
so anybody can write a HowTo, or mini-HowTo, or even you can pick a English
HowTo and translate to other language, such as Chinese, Japanese.....
As an official project, any HowTo has a formal format, you must know how to write
it before you start. In order to make it official, you need to contact them before you
start, here is the email.

Where can I download HowTos ?
HOWTOs can be retrieved via anonymous FTP from the following sites:
ftp://metalab.unc.edu/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO
ftp://tsx-11.mit.edu/pub/linux/docs/HOWTO
as well as many mirror sites.
Read HowTos on line.
The size of a complete HowTo could larger than 20MB, if you also want different
languages, like I already had English version and Chinese version, then the total size
could be up to 50MB, so I am not going to post all the HowTos here, but you can visit the
following URL for details, these web sites are two of the official HowTo, they
update quite often.
